    Slight knocking sound on cold startup

    I have 3 vehicles with the 3.6 Pentastar, a 2012 200 convertible, a 2018 Ram and a 2020 Charger and all of them make a light tapping on a cold start. It only lasts a second and I've stopped worrying about it. I'm pretty sure it's due to the oil draining back into the pan.

    Oil pressure 3.6 too high?

    Pretty sure the 3.6 has a dual rate oil pump. It uses the lower pressure most of the time and then switches over to the higher pressure mode at high rpm. I'm not sure what the switchover RPM is but it might be 3,500, definitely by 4k. It actually checks during each drive cycle (after warmup)...
