Thanks for all your tips and advice the truck is posted for sale while I'm slowly tearing down the motor to prepare for a rebuild if it's not bought by the time its put back together I'm ganna beef it up with a nice size cam for a nice weekend toy- AaronDoesntCare

I have a 2005 dodge ram quad cab with the 4.7 I've had it for maybe 2 months and it just threw a rod and broke the piston in half the motor has 236,000ish miles on it from what I can tell(haven't really torn into it yet) only the rod and piston on the driverside rear cylinder and what I believe...- AaronDoesntCare

Crankshaft sensor broke in block
Well she's tore down for the most part and just from what I can see she threw a rod and split a piston in half... only on the rear driverside piston and rod appears to be damaged and the tone wheel ( if that's what I think might be the tone wheel..) has a couple small chunks misses off the teeth...- AaronDoesntCare

03 Ram 1500 4.7 studder replaced TPS
Go buy a new camshaft and crankshaft position sensors change them out and see if that fixes the problem. Crankshaft sensor broke in block
I just replaced both the cam and crankshaft sensors shortly after buying the truck. The oil pressure was normal. I'm dropping the pan in the morning so do you have any tips that could help with that process? Anything I should be aware of on these trucks? Crankshaft sensor broke in block
I have a 2005 Dodge ram 4.7 and today while driving home check engine light started flashing (once again) and started making a rattling noise so I shut her down and towed it to the house check engine code is p0335 i.e. crankshaft sensor so I pulled the sensor off so I could go get another one...- AaronDoesntCare

It ran horrible since the next day after buying it I've replaced the tps sensor spark plugs transmission fluid/filter cam/crankshaft sensors after that it was running great until last night- AaronDoesntCare

I haven't the slightest clue all I know is what I was told about it....so I'm just gonna go at it like nothing has ever been replaced. I dropped the transmission pan because it had bubbles in it and it still had the factory screw on filter (looks like oil filter) I've replaced tps sensor both...- AaronDoesntCare
