Guys,

Now I love the look of clearance lamps on the bigger trucks but I don't think they'd belong on my 1500.

Has anyone done or thought about adding Ford Raptor front grill yellow/ambers? I'll attach pics.

Please let me know if you've done this, or if you have any ideas on how to get it done. (Purchasing Best Lights, materials.)

I'm sure you could do something similar and it would look good with the right grille. Probably have to go with an even number of lights if you keep a stock grille. I haven't seen anything like this on a Ram yet though. Would be cool to see how it comes out.

I would think that the center brace of our grill would make it difficult to put them in there.

Yes to have three exactly like the raptor would be impossible with the center brace but like Cruiser said if we keep a stock grille I'd have to go with an even number of lights, maybe two on left and two on right? Hopefully someone's done this before if not hopefully someone likes the idea so much they'll try it out and do a write up?

Lol shoot. I just got my truck! I'd like to have at least 6 months with her before I go drilling holes lol! But on the other hand I've already had a MF welded on so a couple drilled holes won't hurt, will it? Lol

I don't think mounting in the grill like the raptor would be the way for our trucks. I think drilling in some kind of small flush mount led's across the top grill member would be the way.

Something color matched to make it nearly invisible during the day would be very cool.

Could be a couple approaches. Like double sided tape LED strips? No drilling required. Just an idea.

You got me guys, I'll be the lab rat. I'll try and tackle this soon. Anybody have an idea where I can get good yellow/amber rectangular LEDs?

I want to do this too. One thought I had was changing the wiring so that the mirror signal light would be clearance lights. I have the tow mirrors so it would look like thisImageUploadedByTapatalk1392954881.043864.jpg

led trailer lights, led clearance lights, led marker lights,

I like the clear lens ambers…..might be harder to see during daylight when they're off.

These are perfect!!! Think I'm going to go with the Amber Thin-Line LED Lamp with Clear Lens

Just got to do some measuring and I want to figure out how to get the three light look. I know we were talking about going with an even number at four but I think four is a little much.

I'll look into it some more, figure what I like, order and keep y'all posted. Thanks for all the help.

Kinda close to the same idea I mounted 2 a-series rigid industries ambers for running lights and wired them into the blinkers as well on my commander. behind the grille so I didn't need to drill or anything just made brackets for them. These are bright and a lot of people say I should add a few more for the look but I think I like it with just the two. I might do the same on my ram.
