OK as most of y'all know the main truck I care about is my white one. I just sold my black truck for 4600 so I got cash to play with.

I want to put a 01 quad cab on my white truck. And put my 96 dash and all in it so I don't have to change any harnesses or title. How hard may this be? What is the legal matters with the door jam vin sticker? Is there a way to get a new one printed

*shrug* no idea man.

You'd have to drill out your dash VIN tag, I think... It should be riveted to the cab windshield cross-member, not the dash panel itself.

No idea about the door jam...

No, it's on the dash pad itself.

Door tag you might be able to peel off....dunno.

Would an 01 dash plug into my main plug cluster behind my break pedal?

Ya think it can be pushed out from the inside? With a hammer of course.

All depends on what kind of access you have to the sheet metal from inside. I have never seen what the cab looks like in bare sheet metal inside the cab. If you can swing a hammer on it, you can fix it that way. Use a sheet metal hammer if you have one.
