Will an 02 gen 3 bed swap to an 05?

I am not positive one way or the other

I believe that 2002 was a switch over year
They had the 2002 Rams that came out in July of 2001, they were the same as the previous years Rams
Then in January 2002, they changed body styles

2002 1500's are all 3rd gens. 2002 2500/3500's are 2nd gens. So an 02 half ton bed will work on your 05.

The 2002-2008 DR body trucks beds are all the same. If you are talking about a 2002 BE body then the frame mounts are different.
