I have an automatic 02 Ram 4.7L that had a blown head gasket and possibly a bad intake manifold as well. I also have a manual 03 Ram 4.7L. I removed the pilot bushing from the 03 motor and stuck it in the 02. The 02 still won’t start. Ran the codes and got: Interm loss of cmp or ckp. I replaced both sensors. Still won’t start. Now I’m wondering if the whole problem is electrical. Can someone please give me some input? I really don’t want to dump anymore money into this...

Actually, both cam and crank wheels are different. The engine controller on the 02 is looking for a low data rate set and 03 was an ngc controller and high data rate. I just built my 4.7 in an 02 with an o3 and changed both cam and crank trigger wheels.

Cam can be done from the top side...uhhh, the crank is labor intensive.
