Greetings all! just signed up to try & help my buddy figure out his new headlight setup. I saw next to nothing when I tried to search first.

His truck: Super clean, black 08 Cummins with only 100k

- Aftermarket Spyder brand projector housings (I use the same brand in my WJ with 55w 5k HID & Love them)
*fyi his new housings now use H7 for low beam.

- Aftermarket H7 LED low beam bulbs by Hikari (Japanese made, have them in my GTP and like them)

He made sure the LED kit came with canbus boxes.
Installed the bulbs and everything seemed fine with the truck sitting in Park.
It Seems that once he put the truck in gear to go for a test drive, the lights begin slowly cycling off-on-off etc.
When pulling them out, the heat sinks and canbus boxes seemed Very hot.

Any insight/schooling is very much appreciated. I'm more than capable of wiring relay(s) if needed, but I was admittedly puzzled by this one.
Relays? Resistors? Possible DRL culprit? (He tried disabling DRLs with this pillar tuner he has, but no luck)
