1991 W350 won't crank after new ignition switch

Please if this is in the wrong section, please remove it. I have a 1991 W350 with A/T. I had to replace the ignition switch. It was starting just fine before this. After putting in the new switch, the truck won't even turn over or click the starter like a dead battery would. I noticed on the voltmeter that it would drop to 8 volts when I turned the key on. Anyone have any ideas on what I did wrong?

I replaced the key lock part.
