Second mod actually since I got the windows tinted. I installed the glovebox today. took all of 15 minutes. I really only did this because I wanted the usb port but truthfully I think it's a minor improvement in appearance.

I was going to do the cabin air filter mod but I think the wind whistle I'm getting is from the vent system and don't want to risk doing anything that might give them an excuse not to fix it when I take it in.

I hooky my iphone up to that port all the time. Sometimes it has a problem syncing music, but it usually works fine.

Installed my catch can this morning, took about 20 minutes. Came with instructions that were crystal clear with a little common sense. 200 miles on the odo.

Where did you get the glovebox? I have an express and would like to have one. Does the box come with the usb? Or is it something else you added?

The USB is part of the Uconnect not the radio. If you have the uconnect you can find the cable leaving the Uconnect box and follow it to where it is taped to the rest of the wiring harness. It does allow me to control my ipod from the radio despite what others have said. Radio also displays the song title etc....

I can't take credit for discovering this, I picked it up on another forum.
I think it was a worthwhile mod, I think it makes the interior look a little more finished.

Latest mod completed yesterday. I didn't do the work myself, I had the dealer do it. Mopar remote start. Not a factory option on the express.


Bedliner being sprayed in today. Having that done professionally as well.

2 failed mods to report this weekend.
1. Bought a wheelskinz leather cover for the steering wheel as I really hate the texture of the rubber one on long trips. It works almost as advertised until you get to the bottom of the wheel where the gap you have to leave in the binding is so big because of the huge bottom spokes it doesn't fit right. $50 down the drain.
2. Cree back up led bulbs. bought on fleabay. about 25. shipped. I may have gone a little too dark on the rear window tint and was hoping to compensate with brighter reverse lights. These are whiter/bluer but don't have the lumen output of the stock bulb. Look nice but won't help me avoid backing over someone. If anyone has a better solution for back up lights let me know.

Wait, I have RES130 w/ UConnect. Do I need to take out the deck, or is it accessible from the glove box side once removed. I have 2012 C-Cab. AND - Does the USB charge the iphone, like most do?

I asked about remote start and they said I "could NOT" get a new key with the starter button. Couldn't be done they said. So did you get a new set of Key Fobs and have it programmed to truck?

Congrats on Bed liner. Mine came with the factory one so of course I have no motivation to get spray in. Hopefully this summer at latest though, don't want to go too long after the wet season here.

Hemisport, The USB cable comes from the top of the UConnect box which is mounted on the right side of the truck behind the glovebox and to the right. There are 2 plugs exiting the top. the first has a bunch of wires, the second is a single smaller insulated cable. This is the USB cable. It terminates behind the upper glovebox to the left. Look for the plug. It's larger than you think it will be (yeah yeah, that's what she said.) It's just taped there. If you buy the glovebox insert before you take it all apart you can replace at the same time. This cable locks into the back of the glove box and even lights up.

Remote start: Mopar Part number 82212424AB comes with 2 new remote start keyfobs. The dealer can also reprogram your existing fobs to match giving you 2 w/ remote start, 2 without that will work for the truck. Convenient if you leave extra keys anywhere.
