2000 dodge durango 5.9 questions

so i have a 2000 Dodge Durango with the 5.9 and i can't go in Dodge Talk because my school doesn't let me do this on this computer but I will let me on this web site but I have a few questions first of which is why doesn't my ring come on when I open the door and also it won't come when the door is closed and the key is in the ignition but it will come on when the door is open and the key is in the ignition and also what exhaust would you recommend for making it louder but keeping the same exhaust noise and also what brand of suspension lift kit would you recommend I already have brand of body lift kit I want to use and I want a 2-inch lift I the back and a 3 inch in the front because the rear sits high compared to the fronts and I gonna used the original tires and I'm gonna probably put on some 315/75/16s and what cam would recommend I want something lopey and it gives a big power increase I'm open to suggestions

Welcome to the forum. A lot of information there. Start with the chime: if it is like my 2003 Ram 2500 the chime only came on when door is open and key is in the ignition. Also think it came on if I left lights on with key out of ignition and door open but not certain of that.

Reach out to @Nick@GotExhaust in our vendor section for ideas there. However, if you are doing a body lift you may want to do that first for fitment, but he could tell you more.

For body and suspension lift I recommend a search in the 2nd and 3rd Gen sections for lift threads, maybe even 4th and 5th for ideas and issues.

For cam engine work, search the 2nd Gen for ideas there as the 5.9 stopped in the 2002 1500 and 2003 2500/3500.

Proper order is critical on all of this because some will impact other activities. Also, no UAT FWIW you may find the truck struggling with larger tires if you go that route and may want to consider re-gearing of front and rear.
