I have a 2002ram 1500 with 5.9 I was coming home yesterday it bogged down once then was fine. Came to stop it took off slow then nothing in any gear. Isit common to loose every gear at once? Check light came on code sayd tranny filter or some valve plugged. I changed filter wasn't letting much fluid thru. Unhooked battery changed filter still slipping but light hasn't came back on. Maybe a solinoid? Any help would be greatly appriciated!

How many miles?

Sounds like your bands are wearin out. The 46re requires the bands to be adjusted after so many miles. My 02 did the same thing, tranny needed rebuilt. You might be able to tighten up the bands and get some more life out of it but I wouldn't recommend doing that at all.

I wouldnt part the truck over a trans, either get yours rebuilt or pick up a junkyard trans with lower miles. Welcome to the forum bud.
