Have you tried this? There’s another tester I’ve been interested but too cheap to buy one. Still happy with my fluke and Simpson 260.

I'm curious about where this device is any more useful that a multimeter or a lamp tester?

I would tests fuses with a multimeter.

Most multimeters have an ohm meter/continuity tester with tone.

And a lamp style tester likely cost about $5 or $10. I'm guessing that you likely already own these devices, or multiples of them.

What am I missing? Is it the cool green & red LEDs?

.

The way i took the video was it isolates where the break would be in a wiring harness with-out probing anything or unwrapping the harness to find where the break is.Maybe i misread the video though

Edit: went back and reread it again, and paid more attention this time around, and i think i misread it the first time around,so i'm not sure it's all that great.

I owe you one Michael, you made me take a better look the 2nd time around :Big Laugh:

IIRC, they mentioned the test probe could puncture the insulation without damaging the jacket.

So, is that like a magic hole that re-seals itself?

Too much hype and then they're saying you can have it at half price. Only ~$55.

If you have a test light and a multimeter already, just add a cheap telecoms tracer and it's the same thing.

Also, check Amazon for "automotive circuit tester" and the same thing comes up for under $25 for most of them
