hi, I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.7 hemi with a 5-45rfe ,and I have a low mileage 45rfe out of a 2006 dakota. Does anybody know where I can get my pcm reprogrammed for the 45rfe ?

1. You cannot.
2. For the most part, all RFE's from 1999 to 2010 are physically the same trans & interchangeable.
3. It's the programming that decides whether it's going to be a 4sp or 5sp (or even 6sp later on); all RFE's after 2003 are at least 5sp.
4. Swap it in, hook it up and plug it in, then perform a 'quick learn'. This is non-negotiable.

I appreciate your response Lonestar, I defiantly don't need any "quick learns" this week.. I will just get the 545 rebuilt... thanks, again..

The shop will end up doing a quick learn anyway. Any time a computer is swapped or the clutch values change in the trans (say from a rebuild or a replacement) then it must be performed so the computer knows the clutch values it has to work with. Not doing so risks crappy shifting and trans damage.
