I saw some advertising on a tuner from Jet for 2011-2012 Ram 5.7. I called Jet Performance in Huntington Beach, CA (800-535-1161) and spoke to customer service (Corbin)and was told it is a piggy back unit. It is not adjustable and plugs in between your harness and the Ecu. It delivers a HP increase of 14 rwhp and 16lbs torq. on 91 octane. The price is $319.95.

I have tried these piggy back units before and was very dissatisfied with the performance gain.

I think we will have to wait for Diablo, Hypertech to develop an adjustable unit.

I saw something like that on autoanything.com for like $235. Not sure if it's the same thing though.

Its likely no different than a PowerWire and Transmission Shift Resistor mod.

I'll definitely keep my money.

I am not a 4th Gen Guy but Remember Hypertech were the first in the Late 80's when the Mustang 5.0 was (except for corvette) pretty well the king. I had one and could def feel the difference, however when you get up in the HP numbers like now 14 hp may not feel like 25 or 30 did back then.

I would wait too for the others but has anyone ever cosidered that it cannot be cracked?

Forget about the JetChip products. They just alter input signals to the PCM with no real tuning involved.

The possibility that it won't be cracked has certainly occurred to me. I'm a few years away from buying a new or newer truck and I hope they figure it out by then!
