Anyone verify the Axxess XSVI-6522-NAV will work with the 2012 Express with the low end radio?? It has SAT but no NAV or wheel controls. It was recommended by Sonic but when I checked with Metra the RAM wasn't listed?? They offered to swap the PAC C2R CHY4 but said it does the same thing for more money.

So much conflicting info between Amazon, Crutchfield, Sonic and the manufacturers as to what fits and doesn't? Wanted to see what has been used and known to work !

Thanks so much

LOL,
When I first got my truck I pulled the center console open to find a wire for my radar detector. I was amazed at how much open space is behind the dash yet an aftermarket radio needs to modify the das opening to fit it??

Seems like another tactic to get people to just buy an upgraded deck from the start??

Could use that help !!
Seems the radio is way bigger than the opening.
Trimmed enough of the plastic dash but now hits the metal bracket deeper in the dash. From my measurements it is about 1/4" difference.

I'm sure I will need to "trim" some sheetmetal but how did you guys get in there to cut it out?

Did you just cut a vertical slit and bend it over?

Do you take even amounts off top and bottom to keep the face centered?

Any help is appreciated !
