Might want to ask over in the 4th gen area of the forum. You posted in the 5th gen (2019+) area.

You need to provide more information, like, did it come factory with this mirror or did you add it on as a replacement?
If factory it will dim at night like your rear view on your windshield. I have them on both sides factory and they are a Great feature, especially with all these tools running around with jet liner landing lights on there cars now. If you bought this truck used the previous owner may of replaced that side or the drivers side of they dont match. You can get a copy of your sticker and build sheet to see what ot came with from the factory

Some coated Heated mirrors have been known to change colors
From what i understand, it is pretty much hit or miss whether it turns color or not
Many ppl replace the mirror glass without connecting extra wires
The dealerships Parts Dept. has the mirror glass in stock more often than not
The Service Adviser will tell you that the complete mirror assembly has to be replaced, S.A. are not very well informed on mirrors
