I have a 2013 Ram 2500 with 5.7 hemi CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) engine.Vin #2
The CNG tanks have been removed by previous owner and truck runs on gasoline as default.
It is my understanding that the truck has 2 sets of injectors and a CNG specific PCM.
The current engine has a dead cylinder at 265,000 miles. I am looking to do an engine swap but not sure if a standard hemi will work if I just swap intakes and use my CNG intake.
Questions:
1. Does anyone know what long block is compatible or what needs to be changed to install a NON CNG hemi long block and keep current configuration on the truck?
2. Can I use entire Non CNG Hemi and just not plug in second set of injectors and have PCM reprogrammed?
3. Can the engine harness and PCM simply be changed and use VIN "T" hemi? Mine is vin "2".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
