Purchased the install kit for my ram. Installation was very straight forward. After installation I took my truck to the dealership and had the system programmed, after the programming was complete it shows in all of the right places but no matter what I do it shows “no trailer connected” and when I pull the trailer settings on the EVIC the slide switch does nothing like changing the gain or anything. Does anyone have any other ideas of what I could check? The dealership wanted a ridiculous amount to troubleshoot it.

Yes, the slide switch is lit up when the headlights come on so I know it’s getting power I’m just not sure where to go next.

Might have got the wrong controller part number. They are different between 13-14,15,16,17-18. 4 different part numbers. ****** but might want to double check the right module was installed.

Another stupid question, your trailer has electric brakes right? In the radio setting for the FBC, you need to see the different settings (light electric, heavy electric, hydraulic over electric) on the brake style your connected to. You could also have a flaky pwr connection or ground that would cause this same issue.

With your trailer connected check voltage between pins 1....ground, and 2 brake voltage. Ram FBC's are a pulsed wave DC type. You would be lucky seeing like 7-8 volts maxed out for the brakes. I installed a tekonsha P3, and bypassed my factory RAM controller. Night and day difference in performance.
