Well the ABS module in my 2015 Ram died with no communication with ABS module errors. I tried all the first things first, fuses, checking and cleaning connectors, etc. No go… After contacting 3 Dodge dealers, come to find out from 2014 to 2018 these modules are no longer available. One of the service centers mentioned the only option was to send it to a 3rd party repair facility, which is what they do and gave me the name. Found the web site, paid the repair in advance, shipped the module to them and waited 3 weeks. Nothing. Finally I sent them an email and they said “Your module has failed”, “Do you want it back?” Seriously? Are you kidding me, ofc it failed. Sheesh there went $65 in shipping both ways for nothing. So I asked if they had a reliable source they would recommend for a replacement. You know what they told me. EBay….. Wow… I know better than that… Anyway found a good, helpful company who offers a remanufactuted module, programmed with my VIN. Now I just need to figure out how to initialize it with the MX+ module I had to purchase. I did some research and it’s a bit confusing wether or not I need additional software for the MX+….. Anyone done this with the MX?

I’m not a one hit wonder Wild One. I found the modules at Auto Computer Performance, spoke with Chris, gave them my VIN, they programmed it and sent it to me. No core required. You can visit their web site. I contacted them directly because I was concerned about the fact the modules need to programmed with the vin, and they could verify compatibility. I think they are very good to deal with.

Do everybody a favour and post a link to the outfit that helped you out. The page gets credit for the majority of links

Well just a follow up. This should help anyone with the ABS failure. As I mentioned I outright purchased a module from Auto Computer Performance. I installed the module and to initialize it, I purchased the OBDLink M+ which although does have some features, it is basically just a communication link. I then downloaded and purchased AlphaODB and was able to initialize, clear all codes, and bleed the pump module. This cleared all ABS codes and the Service Trailer Brake message and the service light. I have been driving the truck for a week now. No codes, no issues.
