Here in W Pa we are having an extreme heat wave. Opened my rear slider to help ventilate the cab. When I came back it wouldn't close. Read somewhere that extreme heat affects the switch and it will close after it cools. Any one else hear this? I'm going to wait until after dark and try to close it.

Just went out and tried it and it closed with no issues. So apparently extreme heat has an effect on it's performance. It was parked in the shade and had cooled down.
My homelink module does the same thing (same general area). It only happens after sitting in direct sunlight though and typically it doesn't happen if the vehicle gets driven briefly.

Never heard anything like it . Venting the cab, ha, turn on your AC, put it on auto, let the computer do the work, 5 minutes later truck is cool. It's not the old days where you need wind to do anything. Running with windows open doesn't benefit the driver or the truck. It just makes noise

The only thing i've ever had that was affected by heat, was the screen on the radio in the wifes 2019 Challenger 1320,and they're famous for being affected by heat. Differant heat sink pads and a couple small fans mounted in the dash blowing across the back of the head unit cured that issue

I live in a slightly warm place, LOL< where the current NE temps are my daily temps in the late spring, summer and fall (actually AC goes on sometime in March and usually stays on till early December). Actually now, we R having a cool wave, high of only 90F today. Have never had a problem with rear sliding window. NOW, I also keep a sunshade in the front windshield and also keep the rear (2) windows cracked when the temps get up there.

Above just "my" personal experience. Not saying heat does not affect, I just do whatever I can to alleviate.

Mine got stuck open last week. I had an issue or two closing as a warning a few times before that. Didn't matter whether cool or hot it just stopped working.

I ended up troubleshooting it to the switch. Pinching the wires going into the switch I was able to get it to close.

I've attributed it to my offroad activities loosening the contacts in the switch. A new switch arrives tomorrow.

I do as well, but 9 hours in the Florida sun/heat, I have seen my truck thermo as high as 119, and my cheapo parts store vent thermo at 120ish. I can't leave my windows cracked here with the random storms we get(no rain guards on my windows). When I leave work, I just roll my front windows down half way, and hit the auto button on the a/c which is set to 73F. After a couple of minutes, I hit the seat ventilator and roll the windows up :Big Laugh:

Auto at 73? oh no way, mine is set on between 63-65F. Just depends where I leave it when driving around taking care of "whateva".

Even set to 73, my vent thermo never goes colder than 60 on the drive home from work. Granted, I sit at several stop lights, and barely get above 40mph. My mechanic just got a 1234yf machine, so I might have him check my charge soon.

My 19 is a 5th Gen, and it had the TSB recall, because they put bad Evaporators in the 1st built 5th Gens, mine being built in April 2018. They pulled out the entire dash and motors and replaced the evaporator and sensors etc.,. My SA put his best mechanic on it. That's my 2019 behind them in the Dealership. I get 45 F-50 F out of vents, depending upon which one. IF I was to clamp the heater core inline, I can get it down to 42 F.

It sounds like the AC on my '21 Warlock is the exception, lucky for me.

I recall measuring 32°-33°F at the vents with the recirculate enabled when it was 80°+ outside.

I usually set mine to 69° Auto when the ambient temperatures are 80°-90° and after about 20 minutes on the highway, move the setting to 70° or with certain company, 71°, otherwise the truck becomes meat locker cold.

My 24 1500 Warlock Classic, is the same way. I have my AC set on 69. It cools the front and back. By the time my wife who sits in the back says something. as my grandson rides shotgun, it's meatblocker cold..

I hope this helps - I'm in York County PA, bought my 2014 in July 2017 and it has never since been in a garage except at a shop for service. Almost 117,000 miles.

Both AC and rear sliding window have been flawless. Our temps can't been very different from yours. Weird.
