2016 Ram 4x4 Longhorn 5.7 During the excessive hot weather we noticed I had the rear sliding window open outside to help keep it as cool as possible. Started driving with the AC on and I tried to close the slide and it was stuck and wouldn’t close. I guess the wind and the AC cooled it down and it finally closed. Anyone else had an issue like that. I’m sure the heat index was awful on the roof above the power switch.

Might just needs some silicone based lubricant in the tracks.

Regular silicone spray work? Switch may have overheated.

Yep, that's what I use. Interesting you say the switch may have overheated. My homelink buttons in the same location do that too if the truck has been sitting out in the sun on a hot day.

If I understand the problem, there's a thread on here somewhere about rear window switches frying over time. They work when cool and work sporadically at best when the cab gets very hot. My 2016 with 165000 mi just started with the problem this summer. Replaced the switch so far so good. Check for that thread. More informative than me. Good luck!
