Hi guys my 2017 6.7 Cummins it’s got 17k on it. It gets pretty hot while idling or in traffic and not moving to fast. Anyone else have this problem. Is it normal? While cruising I usually see temps of: coolant: 188-194 maybe around 200 or so with a trailer. Tranny 150-170 but it doesn’t seem to get hot as fast at idle/traffic as the oil and coolant temps do. And oil around 190-199. When it gets hot the oil and coolant temps are around 210. Tranny goes up to like 185. Once I start moving again you’ll hear the fan clutch start pushing all that air so it seems like it’s good. What you guys think?

Sounds about right. My coolant runs around 181 - 185 when cruising. If I have to slow down on a hot day, it climbs to 205 - 210.

The transmission holds at 140 - 150 when cruising, up to 160 when moving slow in hot weather, probably due to the larger Mag HyTec aluminum pan.
