While pulling my camper (8000 lb) with my 2500 in 6th gear with cruise control engaged at 70 mph the cruise dropped out and engine rpm jumped to 3000 from about 1800. This was on flat ground.
Is the clutch somehow tied into cruise control that would have caused the clutch to disengage? If the clutch would have slipped that much I would expect it has little to no life left in it. Didn’t use cruise for the remaining 150 miles without issue.
