Hey guys I’m a newby here, I know I should’ve posted on the “Introduction “ page but I’m a bit desperate. My 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 was parked with a loaded hay trailer behind it and decided to run off and slap into a tree. Luckily there wasn’t anyone injured only the truck and my pride. The truck was in park not running when it hit the tree. The damage was a lot less than I expected. It bent the upper portion of the core support but didn’t get to the radiator or the other various coolers attached to it. My reason for this posting is that the air bags didn’t deploy. I’m planning to fix it myself as I only had liability insurance on the truck. Having secured all the parts to put it back my concern is the air bags. I’d hate to put it back together then power it up only to blow the bags. First of all I do not know where the sensors are, to test or replace them. I’m aware of the control module being under the center consul. So the million dollar question is what do I need to do to finish the job without triggering the bags?

I wouldn't expect you to need to do anything special. Likely the reason they didn't go off is because the engine was off and in park. Guess you could ask a body shop what their opinion is. It's just not common that a truck runs into something when off and in park. Glad nobody was hurt.
