2017 startup idle surge

Have 2017 5.7 and after it sits for 12 hours when I start it idle goes to 1500 rpm and then surges up to 2000 rpms for about 10 seconds then works it way back down to around 700 rpm Outside temperature around 50-60. Can anyone tell me if this surge going that high is normal? Don’t think it has always done it

Idk about the 5.7 but my 3.6 has always done it, as did the 4.0 V6 in my Frontier before. I always wait till it drops back down below 1k before I shift out of park and get going. Never had any issues but just makes me feel better.
