This deal seems too good to be true. Another dealer, when I asked to match it, said “That’s just silly. If you can get it, do it.” It’s a 2018 Ram 1500 crew cab big horn V6. Sticker price is $45,385. The residual is $25,161. Not exactly sure on the final selling price. I should have asked. Duh. It’s discounted 11K online, but I do get affiliate pricing through my work and additional money from my wife’s Grand Cherokee lease.

Anyway, the final monthly payment is $305 a month with $1,000 due at signing. This includes my trade which is roughly $1,500 in negative equity. It’s a 36 month lease, 10K miles per year.

Thoughts?

I’m not a lease genius, but one thing I would negotiate is at least 12,000 miles a year. 15k would be better. You get over the mileage cap and it gets expensive fast.

If you don't plan on driving it much its a decent deal. I would go through 10k miles in about 3 months.

Soooo, $10,980 in payments plus $1000 drive off. Total cost to drive for 3 yrs $11,980 plus tax, ins and DMV. You can then purchase for $25k+ in 36. If you do not intend to buy out the lease at 36 INSIST on 15k per year mileage allowance. They will offer you a mileage allowance price. Remember it is negotiable. Also look for a bumps and bruise clause. Dings ans shopping cart dents can kill you if you turn in. This is what I remember from leasing. Seems like you have some advantage.

Thanks guys! My work is about 2 miles from home so I barely rack up miles.

I have leased two cars in y life....after the first one, I don't know why I did the second! It was always a bad deal for me. The ist was a Ford Tempo (yeah, I know). After 3 years I could buy it for the residual, but h=that was more than they were asking for a used one on the lot with less mileage. I just walked away with nothing....literally. I asked for a ride home since I just gave them my car and they called me a cab....ugh

The 2nd was a Jeep Grand Cherokee for my wife....thought 12,000 miles a year would be good....in two years we owed over $1000 in extra miles charges. We constantly drove my truck so we wouldn't put miles on the jeep. Why pay for it if you can't use it. Turned it in and had no ride!!

Never again.

You'd be paying $12,000 over 3 years, cold only drive 30,000 miles, and have nothing at the end....
