Anyone with anecdotal or better knowledge of when the 2020s will be produced, when we can order them?
I'm trying my best to hold off on purchasing (read: keep my '05 running) until AFTER the first new model-year (e.g. waiting for bugs in '19s to be fixed in '20 production).

Some makes/models have a traditional, recurring season that their new M.Y.s come out; is Ram that way? Can we know when ahead of time?

Unless they are doing a major refit on a model or a new model all together I would say summer 2019 would be the soonest we would see the next iteration. If they dont change anything there is no impetus to release a new MY early. Mahalo

My guess would be late 2019 since I’m sure they would want to stretch the sales of the 2019 “classic” trucks

They also need to "reset" when the new MY comes out, since the 2019 Ram came out so early in 2018. MY 2019 will be a long one.

Late summer/early fall for orders with 2020s hitting lots towards the end of 2019 will be my guess.

Bean counters get involved after the first MY and start stripping parts.

A late-order first MY vehicle is sometimes the best that vehicle will ever be.

If OEM stick to the past, they usually do change over to the lines the first two weeks in July.

A lot of the issues will have been worked out over the past few months and the manufacturing processes updated. Don’t buy an early manufacture date and you should be okay. Or do a factory order and you’ll get the latest internal fixes that they don’t tell us about, or things that are being reported by early buyers.
