2021 Longhorn Limited 10th Anniversary 5.7 Hemi, 48000 miles . Always dealer oil changes with full synthetic done on time.

Started it the other day while it was sitting after a few hours. Sitting in hot sun. Wow, sudden loud tick from left front of engine. Shut it off and tried a restart. Same thing but a notice popped up that the etorque system was unavailable . I drove it home and the noise was gone . Running fine a few days later , no more noise, actually perfectly quiet. Etorque system was available again when I shut off and restarted when home that day. So what the heck? Anyone?

Start oil additive by dealer ? I think they put in BG 40 one time. Should I begin doing this every change?

Now's the time to use Redline 5-30 full synthetic with 15oz of Lube Gard Biotech and a royal purple filter 20-820 your oil filter may have gone to full bypass to cause an oil pressure drop.
what is BG? and what type of oil, and filter did the dealer use.
You need to be on a lubrication strategy with no more than 5,000 oil change interval.

Thank you for the reply. I looked and the dealer has been using 5-20 full synthetic. Only one time does the receipt say "BG oil and fuel additive" at 26000 miles. The filter part number is 4892339BB. Comes back to a "genuine Mopar filter"
I am going to take your advice and go with the 5-30 . Second time i heard this . Is there enough room to the the additive? Should I reduce oil to 6.5 qts?

Thank you for your help. HH.

Yes 6.5 Qts of motor oil and 15oz of LubeGard, use the Royal Purple filter.

I went to order new oil and filter. Getting a RP 10 48 instead of a 20-820? Anyone know the difference? Currently using the 20-820 as suggested above.

I add a half quart of Lubegard to a full 7 quarts. It has been fine. No frothing in the oil.

A half quart doesn’t seem to be too much in these big hemi engines.
