I purchased a 2022 Dodge ram with 5.7 engine I was snooping around under the hood and saw this mesh type extra filter on the top of the cold air intake box, so there already is a filter I know what that extra mesh filter is for blocking out extra debris and stuff that might get through but none of my other Rams before this had that. Has anybody had any experience taking it off and getting better gas mileage since it's blocking a lot of air? Please chime in and let me known and thanks for looking. I'm in California so there is not a aftermarket carb legal air intake yet or else I would just swap it out.
