Just upgraded from a 2020 to a 2026 1500 Laramie and have noticed an issue with the turning lamps. When on high beam, the turning lamps are supposed to engage when turning a corner. My 2026 will only do this if the fog lamps are switched OFF. When fog lamps are switched on in low beam, then drop out when I go to High Beam, the corning lamps will not engage around turns. When the fog lamps are switched off in low beam, then I engage High Beam, the cornering lamps WILL engage around turns. My 2020 would always engage the cornering lamps around turns in High Beam, because I always ran with the fog lamps on in low beam.
Took the truck to the delearship and argued with a service manager for an hour about this after he told me that it is performing as designed. I asked him if it made sense that you would get cornering lamps on high beam if and only if you switched the fog lamps off, and he said "No, not really". I told him my 2020 didn't operate that way and he was like "I don't know". Shouldn't a service manager know this stuff, and furthermore, be proactive to help relay this defect back to Chrysler so they can fix the programming? So frustrated!
