2026 Ram Tungsten Electrical Issues?

New 2026 Ram Tungsten electrical issues? Any other new Tungsten owners experiencing problems with power side steps? When I remote start my new truck to warm it up, upon driving the side steps will deploy and retract while driving down the road. I believe that this is a cold weather problem as it did not happen in warmer temps. I have taken it to the dealer, and they could not recreate the problem of course. Most of the time if I shut off the engine before entering and then restart the truck the problem will go away. However, now that we are in single digit temperatures that does not work

I have power running boards, when the temp gets below freezing, I leave them out. I also do this with my power fold mirrors. I figure that if ice builds up on them when out no big deal. If it builds up on them when in or folded, then they might break trying to open or lower.

I just had my Limited in the shop and they did a power step software upgrade. Just FYI

One of many reasons I would never have power running boards.

Not technically, but, like everything else in your life they are controlled by software.
