I am curious if any other Tungsten or Hurricane HO owners are experiencing repeated battery failures.
My truck is a 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten with the High Output Hurricane twin-turbo I6. The truck currently has 7,851 miles.
Battery replacement history:
• May 14, 2025 – 839 miles
• December 11, 2025 – 4,557 miles
• June 19, 2026 – 7,851 miles
The most recent incident occurred after I drove the truck to work normally in the morning. When I went to leave work that evening, the truck was completely dead. I could not unlock the doors electronically, the dome lights would not come on, and the dashboard was completely dark. The truck required a jump start just to get it onto the tow truck.
The dealer replaced the battery under warranty and performed a draw test but reported that they did not find any abnormal current draw.
The truck has received several software updates over the past year, including one within the last couple of weeks before this most recent failure.
At this point, I have had three battery replacements in approximately 13 months and less than 8,000 miles.
Has anyone else with a 2025 Tungsten or Hurricane-powered Ram experienced similar issues? If so, did your dealer identify a root cause, such as a module staying awake, a battery management issue, software problem, or something else?
I would appreciate hearing what others have found.
