Guys,
I just traded my '20 1500 in for a '22 2500. Ill be picking it up hopefully by the end of next week. I currently have a 12" in a ported Fox Box.
It looks like the 2500 has a totally different floor than the 1500, and my box isnt going to work.
Do you guys know what I should be looking for? Ive read that any 4th gen box will still work for 5th gen 2500s but dont want to buy something until I know for sure.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

The 5th gen HD trucks really should be called 4.5 gen since they are the same cab as the 4th gen with an updated interior. So, to answer your question, there is no difference between 4th and 5th gen HD truck cabs. Technically it's the same cab for the 4th gen 1500's as well.

I don't know if there are differences in the 5th gen 1500 that would cause an issue.

My 4th gen 1500 had a "bucket" type storage under the rear seats, while my 5th gen 1500 was open underneath giving much more room for a sub box.
It looks like the "5th gen" 2500 has that bucket type storage under the seat which limits the space available for a sub box.

Thanks for the info. It looks like your saying any box designed for the earlier models will still work for the '19+ models.

The 4th gen 1500 and 5th gen 2500 share the same cab. It's exactly the same design.

I have no experience with the 5th gen 1500's. It is a new cab design, so might be a bit before box companies come up with something.
