I've owned both with the Ram being my current truck.

All the bugs have been worked out of the 3.6L. Spacious cab for my 6' 220 lb body. The dash is easy to read and to figure out. Love the stock ground height since that is a need for me. Cloth seats. Has the basics of what I want in a truck such as: heated mirrors for those of us that experience winter, auto windows to shake off a light snow, auto locks, A/C for the hot days, gear selector for pulling something heavy, fold up rear seat for some storage, usb port so I can get an aftermarket cd player so I don't have to fight to find a good song. The ride seems nice. Turn knob for gear selection took some getting use to but is OK. Back up cam. Price!
Dislikes:
Oil filter on top of the engine? Plastic cap for the oil filter. Draining the tranny should be easier than it is. Should be a dipstick for the tranny fluid. The radio should be ditched. I don't want a warning when I turn the radio on. I don't want a volume display when I turn the volume up or down. Why do I have to hit the 'all' button to display all the radio stations. Radio stinks imho. No front tow hooks

The power. Ride height which is a need. Oil filter...under the engine and a canister type. Heated mirrors, auto windows, back up cam.

I waited 2 years for Toyota to figure out their engine manufacturing problem and from what I have heard it continued into 2024 which always makes you wonder 'is my engine the next to falter?'. The sensor warning lights on the dash - I hated these because we get snow and unless you clean every sensor on the bumpers, your dash would light up like a Christmas tree. Totally useless was the step under the rear bumper which was to low to the ground and to far under the truck to be of any use. The holes in the leather seats....why, just so they can rip, tear and let fluids soak right in. Didn't like the auto unlock feature on the doors for security reasons. No front tow hooks. Price was way to high for what you got.
