I'm in the market for some new wheels. I'm putting on my lift in a couple of weeks and wanting to know if 22x14s will put to much strain on your hubs or studs?? Can't find much to answer my question in the search. I'm about to have about 11.5" lift on and was going to run the 22x14 with 37x13.50r22. I know it will be stretched but my main concern is the wheels being so wide and wondering of the strain it will be putting on everything or if it will be OK. Thanks. Pics please if y'all have them

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that you're just joshin' us... You know full well that the parts will be screaming after about a year - if they make it that long. Your hubs... well... all I can say is that I hope they don't come apart while you're cruising down the highway, if you aren't injured you'll for sure need a clean pair of britches.

Not poking at you, but you'll need a full rebuild of the front in less than 2 years more than likely.

Bad for several reasons -
1. you've taken the shock absorbing ability of the sidewall and virtually eliminated it.
2. The sidewall is MUCH more exposed to anything that might want to damage it.
3. You've taken the flex of the sidewall and transferred it all to the shoulder of the tire.
4. whatever flex remains in the sidewall, is now mostly in the opposite direction from what the tire was engineered to do.

sand this is just the extra strain you've introduced to the tires.

If your going to run x14 wides then spend the money on tires that fit. Nitto makes a 375 45 22

Well I guess I will do the 20x12 on 37s. I loved the turtle head comment I knew the tires would look a little funny but I'm thankful for Ramforum cause I was about to pull the trigger on the 22x14. Thanks guys

Here's a decent pic. Its not so bad if you are not going into any rocks. If this is the look you are going for, do it...859982_607620622588410_1653549877_o.jpg

Gonna go for the look like Thatdude596 truck he used to have. I think he recently sold it but he had the fuel maverick's 20x12 with 37s. Don't know how to post his pic or I would. Love the look and stance of his truck.
