I need to get new tires. I will be leveling my truck soon but I need the tires now as I'm already at the wear belts. Will the 285 fit until I get the level on?

I had a set of BFG 285/65/20's on my 07 1500 and they were fine not sure if the 14's are that much different.

The isue you are gonna have is not all make/brands of 285/60/20 are the same size. Most 33" or 35 tire don't actually measure out to that exact height, So lucky for you they may fit, or they may rub. It most cases they will rub a little at full turn radius

Bfgs usually measure small so you'd be good with those

My 285/60/20's never rubbed so i doubt that minor extra height would be enough to make it rub, but you never know

I think you could fit that tire, you just wont have any real suspension travel until you get the front end up.
