I'm getting ready to swap my factory setup (2002 2500, so still 2nd gen). Front speakers are dead, tired of going through a BT/FM link, and really miss a back up cam. I replaced my lower dash a bit ago (yay, DRTparts!) and now have space for a double DIN.
I ordered a mid-grade Jensen unit with physical knob, fronts and rears, and cables from Crutchfield. Anything I need to know before digging in?
Crutchfield said I had 6 1/2" rears, but I didn't pull a panel to check. Will I find 5.25" or something when I do?
I've not scoped out if I have an inline amp for the front speakers...how can I tell? If so, how do I patch around? That might be what caused both front speakers to seem dead.
