Hey Guys! I'm new to the forums here, and I had a question I was looking for some help with. I have a 2003 Regular cab dodge ram 1500 2wd with a 4.7L V8. I do some light off road / unimproved road driving and the suspension on this truck about beats me to death EVERY TIME!!! I love the truck but the suspension is really beginning to irritate me. I was wondering if anybody knew as to why it was so stiff? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Would a 2wd offroad suspensions lift make it ride better off road? If so, any suggestions on which lift? Thanks in advance guys!

There could be several reasons as to why your suspension feels "stiff".
I would start by replacing worn parts and then go from there. If it's still to stiff then you can always add a lift kit and larger tires (to get more sidewall).

so other than "worn parts" does anybody know why the ride would be too stiff? What makes a 4wd ride so much better offroad than a 2wd?
