I'm assuming the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 or Toyo Open Country AT would fit a 2015 2500 crew cab 4X4 without a level and no rubbing in a 35x12.50 18 on stock wheels since they don't have the wider lugs that a mud tire in that size has? I know the mud tire would rub without a level from what I've read. So many tire options. I keep changing my mind on what tire to get. Trying to get the biggest tire under there on a budget and without sacrificing too much fuel economy.

My MT's didn't rub without a leveling kit. I still had my leveling kit installed because I wanted to the look. I got 35x12.50R18 Lexani Mudbeast for $900 OTD. It was through a buddy.

I have a 2500.

I did the level before I put on the 35x12.50's on my truck. But my previous tires were 34.7" tall and didn't rub. They weren't as wide, though.

I was pretty sure I'd have no problem with 35's on my truck without the level. I just wanted the level for looks and just in case...

I put 35/12.50.18 terra grapplers on before leveling. Stock 18" chrome clad wheels. They work fine with no rubbing unless you are at full lock and hit a bump i.e. Trying to u-turn this long sob on a regular street.

Sounds like mud 35 mud tires will work with minimal rubbing without a level. Would want Firestone or Toyo since I get 6 months no interest on my Firestone card and they carry the Toyo brand as well. I'd imagine the Firestone's are cheaper in that size.

I love the Firestones too. just remember that the don't have a SINGLE sipe in the tread blocks. they still get good reviews in snow though. being that a 35/12.50 is a flotation size make sure the tire meets you load ratings. I cant get them as they dont meat mine.

let us know what you get

I'll post pics when I get them this Fall. Got about 29500 on the crappy ht's. Getting more than I thought I would. Wearing away so slowly now that they are getting close to the end. I had the Destination MT's on my 04 Silverado for 5k miles before I traded for the Ram. Loved them, but almost lost it with them going around a corner on a wet road when I had to slam on the brakes. No siping makes them worse on wet roads for sure.

Ended up going with Cooper STT Pro in 305/70 18. Ordered off Ebay for $1192 total. Cheapest price I could find in that tire or just about in any mud tire. Will be here next week. Haven't decided if I'll just have them mounted and see if they rub or to go ahead and do a level kit when I have them mounted.

Tires are going on Fri afternoon with a 2 inch level. Also tinting the front door windows to match the rears.

do you plan on recalibrating the speedo/shift points or just going to deal with it?

Not going to change anything. I used to run 2 sizes bigger on my chevy on 16's...265 to 285 and couldn't tell much difference. I've never run this big of a tire before or lifted anything at all. My '04 chevy sit level when it bought it since the torsion bars were already cranked up when new.
