I was installing a OEM 3rd brake light this weekend that I had tinted and noticed there were two alignment pins on the back. When I took my stock light off initially it was stuck on there pretty good but when I went to put the other light on it doesn't seem to fit as snug. I pushed on it rather firmly to get the pins to set but it seems they are holding the light out a bit at the bottom. Are these pins necessary for correct fitment of the light or can I just snip them off to correct the fit?
