I was thinking it couldn't be used for towing anymore after installing a body lift?

Why? Your hitch is attached to the frame! When my buddy did BL on his Ferd, he took his hitch off and had a metal shop take 3" out of it so it looked stock still. That is one option, but you can still tow with it.

I was just wondering because there was a tech note for the lift saying the the rear bumper brackets were for appearance only and the bumper wasn't to be used for towing.

Yeah, thats true, but you don't tow with your bumper do you? Every ram I've seen has came with a receiver hitch. All you have to do is tow with that.

oh yeah, I have a receiver hitch, I wasn't thinking straight, I was thinking it would still affect the bumper.

Negative. Like I said, you could have it shortened so it would still sit tight to your bumper and you wouldn't be able to tell it was a BL.
