Well I got my Catch Can in today and was able to get it installed.
$36 bucks off Amazon then I bought a better hose and two brass barbs to connect the lines for $5.00 + tax.

Real happy with how its made, feels good and solid and even has a dip stick so you dont haft to pull the can off to check it. figure so long it does not blow up I should be good.
No sticker so not sure how much horse power this one will ad.

Well its just about keeping your throttle body and intake clean, maybe the back side of the valves as well.
If you look at the thread about dumping your catch can you will see what kinda crap they catch and about how much and how often they need dumped.

Will see on mine I have 10,5xx miles on it so I will check it in a 1,000 or so and see whatd up.

Wish I would of took pix of the hoses. But it is not hard at all maybe spent 45 mins to a hour doing it.
I mounted it right to the air box so if I change out the air I will have to relocate it. Just takes 2 bolts to mount it.

The hose you tap into is on the passager side of the motor and is a hard line that is attached with 2 small peices of hose, take out the hard line and install the brass barbs in the short hoses and run the new line to the catch can.

That's a noval idea putting a dipstick on you're catch can. Wander why no one else has thought of that.

Any idea how this compares to Billet? I’ve heard to not buy anything but billet. I’m all in for saving money if it performs the same.

I have one with a dip stick as well. Add W1
Quite similar to the one you got, just all black.
Funny enough - I installed it at the air box as well.

I wouldn't think much difference on performance. JMO catch cans aren't rocket science.

I've got the billet tech and like it. The main reason I got it was it came as a kit, hoses, fittings, mounting. If I was ever to do another one I might shop around for price but I don't know that one is going to perform better or worse than another one.

So it goes in like the breather for the valve cover?? I’ll have to pop my hood and look tomorrow?

It comes out of the back /side of the intake and goes imto the bottom of the throttle body.

Go to Moe's performance and look at the billet tech there. They have an installation video there that covers the whole install. If you buy something other than billet tech it will still be plumbed the same, you just have to figure out where you wanna mount the can.

I have 13K on my '16, so I'm interested in your results.

so it's really about how much blow-by your motor has. The idea being older motors might have more blow-by due to wear on components.

Well , sort of. All engines have blowby, just some more than others. Higher compression and performance mods have a tendency to increase the amount, and then like you said, wear.

but the benefit is reduced build up on the valves and intake. No HP gains. I can buy into that. And for the price, it's negligible in the grand scheme of things.
