I get a few customers from time to time that say that the harness doesn't fit - needs to be a few feet longer. So, since am redoing my personal headlights, I figured I would do a deep dive look at the harness I get from Todd and use on my retrofits.
I think the biggest issue is that most people mount the relay on the driver's fender. Well........don't.
I pulled the push pin behind the washer resevoir, slid the relay there, pushed it back in. (you will need to drill out the hole in the relay's mounting tab for it to fit).
Placement:
This leaves plenty of room for the run to the battery (well, I run it to the fuse box - jumper in there). Then, I ran the wires for the ballasts.
Zip tied the harness to the existing harness here:
Ballasts mounted (yes, I love me some zip ties)
Ground it! (be sure to take some sandpaper to the area first. I used 400)
(repeat on the other side for the 2 grounds over there!)
The rest - easy - plug it all in!
