4th Gen Sport Build

I've been on the forum/ had my truck for almost a year, but never got around to making a build thread. Today I decided to see if I can start one tracing back to when it first started, although I know I wont have pictures for everything.

I picked up my Ram after selling my previous build: 2004 WJ Grand Cherokee, V8, 6.5" Long Arm lift on 33's. Jeep was stock when I bought it and I did all of the work myself.



November of last year I picked up:
2010 Dodge Ram
Quad Cab
Silver

58K Miles

When bought:



It currently sits with the following Mods:

Adjustable Bilsteins set at 2.8"
1.75" TG rear coil spacer
3" PA body lift

The install wasn't bad, I used a heat gun instead of baking the lights to not risk cracking the paint. The halos fit well but the 3m backing tape doesn't contact in many places so I had to add some small clear silicone. I would suggest buying the beading wire from them and using that in the install.

Few new mods to the rig.....

Paint matched the rear emblem with Duplicolor rattle can.



Vinyl wrapped all the silver on my interior with digital camo.







Added 2in spacers all around and a tailgate decal.

Looks good man. Not a fan of decals like that but as long as you like them. Lol Careful with those spacers also, I've seen too many guys break them and the result is not pretty, especially at 80 mph down the highway.

Thanks. Yeah I have heard mixed things on spacers. I had 1.5" ones on my built Grand Cherokee and was fine, but I know the risks they run.

Thanks. The Grill is actually from Ebay. I believe it was about $100. I had to cut out my cross bars to mount it. I'm 4x4.

If you look close at the front view picture look in the middle of the top, bottom, and sides of the silver (painted) part of the grill remaining. You will see where the cross bars connected. I had to first remove the sport insert behind the cross bars, then cut the 4 connecting plastic cross bars with a sawzall, and used a grinding wheel to shave down the plastic remaining after the cut. Then drill into the remaining part of the grill (silver painted part you still see) in order to screw the new black insert into it.

Wow does anybody know if the 2013grille is any different? On that link it says just to 2012. I can't imagine how they are that much different?
