I had to replace the lifters in my engine and when I was reassembling the intake rocker shaft, I cracked the very back hold down spacer. I couldn't get my big ol head back there to see that it was slightly on top of the rocker arm. Anyway now i need one spacer and I can not find anything on the internet to replace it. All i have found are the after market hold down kits or used rocker assemblies for $100 or more. I'm sure someone has done this before? Can anyone give me any ideas on where to find something else? It's a 2012 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi, by the way.

it is the square spacer called a Retainer (2) under the bolts. They are held in place by small thin pieces of metal called a tang (1). They don't hold very well in the shaft when it is removed. The spacer (3) or the rocker arm (4) can slide under the retainer if it's not fully seated when reinstalling without you noticing. Which is what happened to me. I've tried local salvage yards with no luck. Looks like i'll spring for a used shaft assembly,.I might be able to resell the shaft later.rocker.gif
