Hey all, just got my first ram 1500 (a 2001 5.2L) and the steering is really bad. Im planning on replacing all the ball joints, changing the steering linkage to an t-type, and whatnot, but thought I’d start at the steering box. I know this is a weird question, but has anyone ever tried putting the 6 bolt steering box on a 1500. I know it’s a long shot, but it looks like it could be done.
Also, what’s the general compatibility between 1500s and the 2500/3500. Aren’t they basically the same just with more rugged parts?
