'97 Auto trans issue

My '97 recently started acting up, sometimes it won't shift out of first, others it starts out in second and upshifts fine, but when coming to a stop it only downshifts to second ... Was hoping somebody may have an idea what may cause this...

It could be just slipping out of first. But idk for sure but thats what mine was doing a couple months ago.
