summer summer summer time. i like that i can add it to my own android device and not have to get the archos. i have a question and it maybe a dumb one but let say for future reference when i get this ill have it going bluetooth so i can read my gauges while i drive, then i get a phone call and want to answer on my bluetooth radio. how will that work with the switching or is bluetooth multi tasking possible?

I know on the new 4th gen's, everytime you link a new device, it makes you choose a priority. 1-10, and up to 10 devices can be linked. So you could choose the Phone priority over the guages, and I think you would be fine. But not sure about 3rd gens...

There are 2 product being released relating to this feature. the first will be a droid based product called the VIVID that includes an Archos unit preloaded with the Superchips tuning app and a data port dongle used to communicate VIA Bluetooth between the two.

The second will be a product called AVID which as bigtigga84 has mentioned will be offered to those who already have a droid based product.

Will the Avid only work on phones, or will the Xoom tablet work for this as well? (It runs Android 3 - Honeycomb)

if it can recognize the OS i would think it'll work as long as a physical connection is available, but i don't really wanna speculate. I managed to get windows apps to run on my iphone through a little "code management", this wouldn't be hard to overcome.

Apple coverage will all depend on how open they are to working with us. If they throw the same fit with us that they did when Adobe made their request it might be alot harder.

I have the latest some shots of the product we showcased at the big Jeep event in Moab Utah last week.

Pictured in order are the two application screens. The steering wheel version allows you to thumb through the options on the wheel. The second screen shows a general listing of the features. (More will be present upon release of the product):

P4270337.jpg

DAQ is next showing you the analog gauge options. You will be able to push on any one of the gauges to select the sensor you want projected as well as have the ability to customize the image or graphic in the gauge background:
P4270335.jpg

Next is the Jeep specific Inclinometer:

And the 720p HD quality video camera + still image camera features:
P4270340.jpg

What you are looking at is strictly demo software and so some of the features are not present but you get the gist of the product and what it will look like once complete but as you can see we are progressing pretty well.
