ABS Module Recall

If you have or have had an ABS module issue on your 4th generation truck, I'd encourage you to call NHSTA (888-327-4236) and file a complaint. They are currently looking into this as a safety issue due to the widespread issue and the lack of accessibility to parts. I know I've waited several months and I keep getting told that it'll be next month every month. The more people that file a complaint, the better chance that it'll be recall, imo. I'm not sure how this work, but aggravated that I can't get the issue fixed.

I filed a complaint a few years ago. Found a version A module and had it installed. Cost me about $700 out of my pocket. Still have the old one here in my garage.

Got this on my CarFax report. Asked RAM dealer and it was mentioned a SW fix and if that didnt work, a hardware change?

What do we all do about this ABS module failure. you can't get a inspection sticker, you can't sell the truck. will Dodge do any thing about it? I took my truck to the Dodge dealer to repair this problem they replaced the hyd. block charged over $2k and the abs light is still on . why go to the dealer ship when all they want to do is replace parts that don't fix the problem and you have to pay to get your unfixed truck back

my 2018 2500 has 25980 miles and this is now the third time the light and same code have come on. this time however the dealer tells me NO PARTS are available to fix my vehicle. Here you truck will pass inspection with the ABS light on. Now if the CEL is illuminated it will not.
If it is this recall it is just software and only effects the stability control which to me is not much of a system,
I don't care if it works or not.
It ends up disabled much of the time in the winter.

How can I get my truck repaired for good. Lemon

I have the same truck and went through 3 ABS pumps. Was able to order the new ABS module from Clearlake mopar. I replaced the ABS module with the new AC part # and it is now fixed. It was was giving me the bad ABS pump motor code, but it was actually the module that was bad.

I have a 2014 ram 1500. Abs module internal fault Dec 2022. Finally had it replaced May 2023. So 2months ago (Sept 2024) module is defective again. Dealer tells me this one is under warranty. GREAT NEWS. I called dealer yesterday to see what the status is on the new module. Now the bad news. The folks at Mopar are thinking about putting out a recall on this and they said don't know when this is gonna happen. They are not sending a new module until a decision is made. Not happy

You make a good point. I had recently printed out the Recall and was going to take my 2019 Longhorn in to have the software fix. But honestly, I do not like 'Stability Control'. I've had it kick in (in other vehicles) a couple of times and it sucks. I would actually PREFER it to be disabled! So I am going to leave it as-is.

As of today, Stellantis does not have a workable HCU replacement and NO ETA...

Follow me on X @dunn12941 where I am lobbying them to BUY MY TRUCK BACK DIRECTLY. I DO NOT want to trade it in through a dealer. I want a check for fair market private sale directly from Stellantis.

The ABS module in my '16 Sport bit the dust in June, verified by non dealership mechanic. Dealership has no answers, opened a case and got this today;

Thank you for your patience while Stellantis continues to work closely with our suppliers to mitigate the manufacturing impacts caused by the various supply chain issues facing our industry. Currently we do not have an ETA. We will provide another update on 9/25/25. The supplier is experiencing significant long term supply interruption resulting from raw material component shortages.
