Like the title says, I'm looking for critiques/advice regarding plans for performance upgrades.

I don't think I'll be going forced induction, I thought about nitrous, but I'm out in AZ and that bottle hanging out in the truck seems super sketch,

CAI - Vararam, Exhaust - LT Headers (I'm already running a QTP cutout), tune (not sure through who yet, leaning toward diablo or HP Tuners, clutch fan delete (v6 replacement.

I have the factory lsd, and 3.92 gears. 2wd, RCSB.

Any advice is appreciated!

The best "foundation" to build on is a custom tune and long tube headers. Those are the first two mod's I'd recommend. Truthfully the stock CAI system does a pretty good job, however, if you want better performance I'd recommend a Vararam. I'd look at a catch can and also a Pedal Commander. While neither one of these items increases hp or tq. I think they are both good add ons.

I knew I was forgetting something. I did get a catch can from UPR, it was the first thing I bought. At 1500 miles there was already a good bit in there.

Ive been learning toward the headers and tune also. My one holdup is emissions. I'm in Arizona. They aren't as bad as when I left bed in california, but they still do a visual for cats. I'm not planning on going catless, but I've wondered how good the cats that come with the different headers are. Looks like the best bet is the kooks headers with the green cats. Spendy, but what can you do.

ARH or Stainless Works are great brands as well. No cats tend to produce a foul smell, but you get used to it.

I have the ARH long tubes with cats, although we don't have the emission testing here in Tx. so I don't know what the results would be. For a tune, I would recommend Moe's Performance for a Diablo tuner and Hemifever for a custom tune. I have had a Diablo tuner and a Hemifever tune for 6 or seven years and never once had any problems. Moe's and Hemifever have a "tunning package" that might save you a few bucks.

Have you considered upping the cubic inches. You can buy a new or rebuilt 6.4 SRT long block through the dealer pretty reasonable, might be another option to consider if you haven't.You need to swap the oil pan/pick-up tube off your 5.7 onto it,and use your 5.7 front cover and intake manifold and get it tuned,it's something to think about if you haven't considered it.

I hadn't thought of that, I was considering upgrading the cam and associates parts if the dreaded tick ever occurred.

I have ARH long tubes that are ceramic coated along with the stainless ceramic coated Y pipe without cats, Diablosport tuner w/ the Hemifever 93 tune. Truck makes great power, but yeah, the exhaust stinks, lol.

I can imagine. I'm more concerned with the inspection folks though. I don't mind running the cats, just want to make sure the free flowing ones actually work, lol.

I hear ya. I bought the truck a few years back, already set up. I probably would have went with high flow cats, oh well...
